We have made the best effort to adhere to all known copyright,
We are thrilled to welcome you to the launch of the Croydon High School Digital Archives, celebrating our 150th Anniversary Year. Since our establishment in 1874, our mission has been to empower girls to embrace their unique qualities and talents with confidence - ‘every girl, every day’.
We remember with love and gratitude Jennifer Ingham, Class of 1949, whose generous legacy has enabled us to digitise our collection of school magazines. We believe she would have wholeheartedly endorsed this initiative.
Our digital archive currently showcases a curated selection of magazines from 1950 to 1985, including special anniversary issues from 1914, 1924, 1934, and 1944. This collection commemorates our school’s journey and serves as a valuable resource for exploring family histories and tracking local and community developments in Croydon.
We warmly invite donations of artefacts, photographs, books, and documents to enrich our archives further. Your involvement is instrumental in preserving and enhancing the history of Croydon High School, ensuring that our story continues to inspire and educate future generations.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to expand our online offerings each year. Progress depends on available funds; if you are interested in supporting or sponsoring a magazine, please reach out to us.
Thank you for joining us on this journey and contributing to the preservation of the history and legacy of Croydon High School.
Sincerely, The Ivy Link ivylink@cry.gdst.net
